Veal Loaf

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 55 to 60 minutes
Serves 6
Degree of difficulty: very simple

Ingredients
2.2 lbs 1kg (Shoulder or Breast)
3 slices stale bread
½ cup milk 125ml
½ cup green onions 125ml finely chopped
2 tablespoons fresh parsley 30ml finely chopped
¼ lb grated 125g
½ lb fresh , 250g chopped and sautéed
in butter (optional)

¼ cup 15% 60ml
to taste: thyme, nutmeg, allspice, salt and pepper

Directions
Soak the stale bread in milk.
Prepare the vegetables.
Grate the .
With a fork beat the with the .
Drain the bread and add to the egg/, the , minced , onions, parsley, thyme, nutmeg and spices.
Mix well.
If you are using the sautéed , add at the same time.
Beat to make the mixture homogenous.
Add seasoning, if necessary.
Place the mixture in a well greased loaf pan.
Bake in oven at 350ºF (180ºC) for 55-60 minutes.
Loaf can be removed from mould and served with tomato sauce.
It is just as delicious served cold.

Serve with: Pureed and turnips
